The Building of Rotherham's Millers New York Stadium

Hailed as a Landmark Building for Rotherham and a New Era for the Millers Football Team Rotherham's New York Stadium was officially opened in July 2012. As strange as the name New York first sounds for a football stadium in South Yorkshire local legend has it that the site was built on an area of land formally known as New York.

This website forms a totally unique record of how New York Stadium was built. From a patch of dirt to the finished item using dozens of images we capture the building of Rotherhams new Football Ground from start to finish.

Using a selection of our photos taken on a daily basis from the top of a hill overlooking the ground this is a unique account of the changing Rotherham landscape and the creation of a landmark new stadium.

We hope you enjoy this website, please do leave a quick note on our comments page about your views on the Millers New York Football Stadium.
